Auro Palomba

Chairman and Founder

A professional journalist since 1989, Auro is one of Italy’s most expert communications professionals, with his extensive knowledge of the world of the media and its methods, and of companies, thanks to his experience as a journalist, corporate communicator, communications consultant, entrepreneur and consistently a leading player in the market. In 2018, together with Andrea Barchiesi, he established Reputation Science, the result of the joint venture between Community Group and Reputation Manager. It is the first Italian company to adopt a scientific and integrated approach to communication and online reputation’s management of businesses, managers and institutions. Mr Palomba holds the President role of the new company.

He is one of the few professionals in Italy to have experienced how communications works from every angle: in the world of the media as a financial journalist for Italia Oggi, Il Giornale, Il Messaggero (as financial editor), as deviser of formats and presenter for Class-CNBC TV and Canale Italia; in the world of business and finance in the role of Communications Director for 21 Investimenti and Netsystem; in the world of consultancy, as Vice President and General Manager of Maurizio Costanzo Comunicazione.

He has taught economics and finance as part of the preparatory course for the entry exams of the Milan professional body for journalists. He has been the communications advisor for the UN International Center for Science and High Technologies; member of the scientific committee of Quale Impresa, the magazine of Confindustria’s young entrepreneurs group; North East Italy regional representative for the Osservatorio Asia organisation; Person responsible for communications for the committee overseeing Venice’s candidacy for the 2020 Olympic games; Editor and communications manager of the Fondazione Nordest newsletter.

He currently occupies the following roles: Jury secretary for the Italian Creativity Prize organised by Unindustria Treviso: Jury secretary for the Italian Mechatronics Prize organised by Assindustria of Reggio Emilia, Member of the board of directors of Save The Children Italia. He is a Lecturer in Communications for the “Second Cycle Degree Programme in Lifelong Education Studies”, in the Department of Sociology at the University of Padua. Mr. Palomba is a member of the Council of Experts of the Presidency at the Chamber of Deputies Committee IV (Finance). In 2017, he was awarded as Professional of the Year in the “Financial PR” category at the Financecommunity Awards. He has worked on some of the most important communications case histories in Italy, personally managing the reputation of leading entrepreneurial and business figures.
